Pte James Harold AYLAND, 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Regiment, is buried in Plot II, Row B, Grave 48.

  

He was killed in action on 25th May 1915 in the Bellewaarde Ridge area of Belgium.   He was 31.

 

He is commemorated on the Charlton Kings War Memorial and the Charlton Kings (St Mary’s Church) Roll of Honour Tablet.

 

His parents, George and Sarah Ayland resided at 2 Moorend Crescent, Cheltenham.

 

2Lt Marshall Breckon FEATHERSTONE, 2nd Special Company Royal Engineers, is buried in Plot I, Row B, Grave 13.

  

He was killed in action on 2nd September 1917 in the Frezenberg area of Belgium.   He was 23.

 

He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and the Cheltenham College Roll of Honour.

 

His parents, Arthur and Mabel Featherstone, resided at “Keyston” All Saints Road, Cheltenham and later at 43 Broseley Grove, Sydenham, London.
