Pte Ernest Edward ATTWOOD, 4th Royal Marine Battalion RMLI is buried in Plot P.W. 46A.
He took part in the operations at the Zeebrugge Mole on 23rd April 1918 and was either killed or died of wounds after being evacuated to Dover. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the St Peter’s Church War Memorial. He left a widow, Mrs C D Attwood, who resided at 6 Church Street, Oaksey, Swindon, Wilts.
