Commemorations in the Churchyard

Lt Jack Clifforde HUTCHINSON, 6th Battalion East Surrey Regiment, attached to 1/4th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment, is commemorated on the grave of his father in St George’s Churchyard Didbrook.   He was killed in action in the Mory area of France on 22nd March 1918.

He has no known grave and is listed on the Arras Memorial To The Missing.

He is commemorated on the Cheltenham Grammar School Roll of Honour and on theDidbrook (St George’s Church) Roll of Honour.

The Hutchinson family resided at a farm in the Upper Coscombe area of Winchcombe.
