“Cheltonians” buried in the Cemetery

Pte Albert Edward POOL, 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, is buried in the North-West corner of the Churchyard.

He died of wounds in Lincoln on 21st June 1916 as a result of accidental injuries sustained in the Loos area of France.

He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial.

His parents, Mr C I Pool and Mrs I H Pool, resided at The Wheatsheaf Public House, Tewkesbury and later at
