A stained glass window in St Luke’s Church erected – “To the Glory of God and in loving memory of those from this parish who gave their lives in the Great War 1914 – 1919”.

Sgt Percy Henry BRILL, 1/10th Battalion Middlesex Regiment, is commemorated on a stone plaque.  

He died of illness in India on 27th October 1918 and is buried in the Simla Old Cemetery, India.

He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the St Luke’s Church Roll of Honour.

His parents, Henry and Jeanet Brill, resided at “Aliwal”, Bath Parade, Cheltenham.

Signaller Ernest Godfrey DICKS, Royal Navy, SS Queen, was killed in action at sea off North West Spain on 28th June 1918 and is listed on the Plymouth Naval War Memorial.  

2nd Lieutenant Francis James Neville DICKS, 8th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, died of wounds in the Aisne area of France on 27th May 1918.   He is buried in the Aire Cemetery, France.  

The brothers are commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and the St Luke’s Church Roll of Honour.

Their parents, Ernest and Alice Dicks, resided at Buckingham Lawn, Wellington Street, Cheltenham.

Private Dudley KENSINGTON, 8th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment, was killed in action in the Cambrai area of France on 3rd December 1917.   He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial To The Missing.

He is listed on the Cheltenham War Memorial and the St Luke’s Church Roll of Honour.

His mother, Mrs Amelia Kensington, resided at “Selbyville”, College Road, Cheltenham.
