Notes:

1.   The 2/5th Battalion was formed in August 1914 initially from medically unfit personnel of the 5th Battalion and those who had not signed the Overseas Service Obligation.

2.   A detailed history of the  2/5th Battalion history in the Great War was published by A F Barnes, MC, in 1930.

3.   BADCOCK was temporarily attached to 9th Bn East Surrey Regt at the time of his death.

4.   HAWKINS was discharged from the Army on 7th August 1916 due to sickness.
