Captain (Chaplain 4th Class) William Henry HEADING, Army Chaplains Department, is buried in Chatteris Cemetery, Plot B/640.  

 

He died of influenza/pneumonia on 21st November 1918.

 

We was the minister at Leckhampton Baptist Church and is commemorated on a Plaque in the church.

 

He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial, but his surname is inscribed as Hending.  

 

He is also commemorated on the Chatteris War Memorial in the grounds of St Peters Church.

 

He resided at “Courland” Brookway Road, Charlton Kings.
