Pte Lindon PARKYN, 47th Battalion (Western Ontario Regiment) Canadian Infantry, is buried in this cemetery.
He died of illness at Bramshott Hospital on 10th March 1916, aged 39. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial, and on the Trelleck (St Nicholas Church) Roll of Honour. Lindon Parkyn left a widow, Ethel Florence Parkyn, of “Henleaze” College Road, Cheltenham. She also resided at “Wycliffe”, Hales Road, Cheltenham. |
