Mobilised: 4th August 1914. 1/5th Battalion and 2/5th Battalion formed at Gloucester in September 1914. 3/5th Battalion formed at Gloucester April 1915 |

Landed in France and joined BEF on 29th March 1915, part of 145th Infantry Brigade 48th (1st South Midland) Division). Served in France and Flanders and, from November 1917 to September 1918, in Italy. Returned to France in September 1918 and joined 75th Infantry Brigade of 25th Division. At The Armistice the unit was based at Preux, near Landrecies. |
