Notes:

1.   The 2/6th Battalion was formed in August 1914 initially from medically unfit personnel of the 6th Battalion and those who had not signed the Overseas Service Obligation.

2.   The Battalion was disbanded on 20th February 1918 in France with personnel being transferred to other Infantry Battalions and to the 24th Entrenching Battalion.
