Pte Percy George BALDWIN, 71st Auxiliary MT Company Army Service Corps, is commemorated on the grave of his wife.

He died of illness in a military hospital in the Boulogne area of France on 5th November 1918, aged 32, and is buried in the Terlincthun British Cemetery, Boulogne.

He is not commemorated on any memorial in the Cheltenham area but is listed on the Churchdown War Memorial.

He resided at “Sandywell”, Churchdown and his parents resided at Pirton Lane, Churchdown.

LCpl Jesse BLISS, 12th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, is commemorated on the family grave.

He died of wounds, sustained in the Battle of Poelcapelle, on 10th October 1917 and is buried in the British Cemetery in the French village of Godewaersvelde. He was 21 years old.

He is commemorated on the Badgeworth (Holy Trinity Church) Roll of Honour Tablet.

His parents, William Walter and Eliza Ann Bliss resided at Bramley Villa, Ewlyn Road, Leckhampton, Cheltenham.

Sgt Edward Pearce CRITCHLEY, 2/5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, is commemorated on the family plot.

He was killed in action on 22nd August 1917 in the area east of Ypres in Belgium. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial To The Missing.

He is not commemorated in Badgeworth, Cheltenham or the local area but is commemorated on theHucclecote War Memorial.

His parents, Mr A L Critchley and Mrs E M Critchley, resided at “Belmont”, Hucclecote, Gloucester.

Lt Gerald Alexander Clifford MOORE, 8th Battalion The Cameronians, is commemorated on the family grave.

He died on 11th July 1915 in Malta from wounds received in Gallipoli, and is buried in the Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

He is not commemorated in Badgeworth or on any local war memorial.

His parents , The Rev Edward and Mrs Moore resided at Badgeworth Court.

LCpl Gilbert George SCRIVEN, Household Battalion (the infantry battalion of the Household Cavalry), is commemorated on his brother’s grave.

He was killed in action on 11 April 1917 (CWGC records his date of death as 12th April 1917) during the Battle of the Scarpe during the Arras Offensive. He is buried in Brown’s Copse Cemetery, Roeux, near Arras, France.

He is not commemorated in Badgeworth or on any local war memorial.

His father resided at Godfrey House, The Reddings, Cheltenham.
