Bugler Harry Frank BROOKES, 17th Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps, is buried in Plot II, Row B, Grave 45. He was killed in action in the Les Choquaux area of France on 8th August 1916. He was 21. He is commemorated on the Charlton Kings War Memorial and on the Charlton Kings (St Mary’s Church) War Memorial. His parents, Jesse and Harriet Elizabeth Brookes, resided at “Daisy Bank”, Horsefair Street, Charlton Kings.
Bugler Harry Frank Brookes 17th Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps 1894 – 1916
	Rifleman Sidney Charles CHARLOTTES, 12th Battalion Rifle Brigade, is buried in Plot I, Row B, Grave 3. He was wounded in action in the Boesinghe area of Belgium on 15th March 1916 and died later the same day. He was 19. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial, the Holy Trinity Church Roll of Honour and the Holy Trinity School Roll of Honour. His mother, Mrs Ellen Tallboy, resided at 51 Sherborne Street, Cheltenham and later at 2 The Retreat, Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham.
	Pte Sidney Charles Charlottes 12th Battalion Rifle Brigade 1897 – 1916
Cpl Sidney DAVIS, 3rd Battalion Coldstream Guards, is buried in Plot II, Row M, Grave 25. He was killed in action in the Ypres area of Belgium on 26th June 1916. He was 34. He is commemorated on the Prestbury War Memorial and the Prestbury (St Mary’s Church) War Memorial. He resided at 2 Butts View, Swindon Lane, Prestbury. It will be seen on the photo of Cpl Davis’ headstone that his surname is listed in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission records as DAVIES. It is only in June 2006, that Mr Antony Golding, Sidney’s great grandson, convinced the CWGC of the correct spelling of DAVIS. The CWGC have amended the Debt of Honour database and confirmed that Sidney’s headstone has been be corrected. Antony took this photo of Cpl Davis’ headstone on 19th July 2006, prior to amendment.
	Sgt Charles William HARDING, 15th Battalion Welsh Regiment, is buried in Plot III, Row J, Grave 4. He was killed in action in the Pilckem area of Belgium on 8th June 1917. He was 24. His unit was part of 114th Brigade of the 38th (Welsh) Division. The division was part of the XVI Corps and was fighting in the Battle of Pilckem (The first phase of the Third Battle of Ypres). He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the St James’ School Roll of Honour. His parents, Francis William and Alice Harding, resided at 15 Leicester Terrace, Naunton Lane, Cheltenham.
