Commemorations in the Church

The memorial plaque to Trooper Richard Hugh COXWELL-ROGERS, Royal GloucestershireHussars, who was killed in action on 21st August 1915 at Suvla Bay Gallipoli.  

Originally buried at the foot of Chocolate Hill his grave was subsequently lostand he is commemorated on a special memorial in the Green Hill Cemetery, Gallipoli.  He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial.

His parents, Geoffrey and AileenCoxwell-Rogers, resided at Dowdeswell Court.
