The Elms Children’s Home.   In the early 1900s, the Cheltenham Union established a children’s home known as The Elms on Swindon Road, Cheltenham, adjacent to the Workhouse.   It could house up to 100 children.

Inscriptions on this War Memorial:   To The Glory Of God   and in Memory of the Boys Connected with the Elms Who Fell in the Great War 1914 – 1919.
