Pte William PAGE, 1st Battalion South Wales Borderers, is buried in Plot I, Row L, Grave 31. He was wounded in action in the Herenthage Woods area of Belgium, near Ypres, and died of these wounds at a Casualty Clearing Station in Poperinghe on 5th November 1914, aged 27. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial. His parents, Jeremiah and Catherine Page, resided at 36 Courtenay Street, Cheltenham. |
