Note:

1.   Pte Barton is buried in a civilian plot which has recently been recognised as a War Grave by the Office of Australian War Graves.   A case was submitted for him to be classified as a war casualty to the CWGC in May 2006, which was accepted in February 2007.   He is not yet commemorated on the Australian War Memorial.
