	Pte Reginald Charles ELLIOTT, 17th Battalion Manchester Regiment, is buried in Plot IX, H, 11. He was killed in action on 31st July 1917 in the Pilckem Ridge area of Belgium on the first day of the Third Battle of Ypres. He was 26 years of age. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and the Holy Apostles Church Roll of Honour. His parents, William and Annie Elliott, resided at 1 Coltham Fields, Hales Road, Cheltenham and he commemorated on the family plot in Charlton Kings (St Mary’s) Churchyard. It was not until 1993 that his name was included on the Cheltenham War Memorial.

Colonel Augustus David GEDDES, 2nd Battalion The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) is buried in Plot IV, C, 4). He was killed in action on 28th April 1915 in the St Jean area of Belgium. He was mentioned in despatches on 31st May 1915 for his command of the “Geddes Detachment” during the defence of Ypres between 23rd – 27hth April 1915. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial, the St James Church Roll of Honour and the Cheltenham College Roll of Honour. His parents, John Gordon and Madelaine Mary Geddes, resided at 4 Suffolk Square, Cheltenham. He is commemorated on his father’s grave in Cheltenham Cemetery.
Colonel Augustus David Geddes 2nd Battalion East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) 1866 – 1915
	Private James Bonnar JOHNSON, 5th Battalion South Wales Borderers, is buried in Plot V, C, 5. He was killed in action on 31st July 1917 in the Ypres area of Belgium. He was 17 years of age. He is commemorated on the St Paul’s Church War Memorial. His parents, Thomas and Eliza Johnson, resided at 11 Hillside Avenue, Markham, Newport, Monmouthshire.
Pte William JONES, 6th Battalion Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, is buried in Plot V, AA, 1. On the top of his headstone is inscribed ” Believed to be”, indicating that there may have been some doubt as to the identification of his body. He was killed in action in Ypres on 12th August 1915. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the St James Church Roll of Honour. His parents resided at 17 Bath Terrace, Cheltenham.
Private William Jones 6th Bn Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry 1886 – 1915
	Sapper William Edward MULHEARN, 10th Field Company Royal Canadian Engineers, is buried in Plot I, 1, 24. He was killed in action on 27th October 1917 during the Battle of Passchendaele. He was 35. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial. His parents, George and Fanny Mulhearn, resided at 1 Swindon Street, Cheltenham and his widow, Elsie Violet, and five Children resided at 541 Banning Street, Winnipeg, Canada.
	Sapper William Edward Mulhearn 10th Field Company Canadian Engineers 1882 – 1917
2nd Lieutenant Richard Terrick STAINFORTH, 2nd Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, is buried in Plot II, B, 18. He was wounded in the Kezelberg area of Belgium on 19th October 1914 and died of these wounds later on the same day. He was 20. He is commemorated on the Cheltenham War Memorial and on the Cheltenham College Roll of Honour. His parents, Colonel Richard and Mrs Stainforth, resided at Leslie Lodge, Tivoli Road, Cheltenham.
